Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Tonite Gonzalez-Collins is an American-Mexican sportscaster. The present sportscaster is for ESPN who is also anchor for SportsCenter reports and hosts SportsNation. Her first job at ESPN in the year 2016. The daughter of TV reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins has been a bilingual since the age of nine years old. It was a helpful talent that enabled her to get her first position as a production assistant for Univision in Miami and gave her an opportunity to work with producers of national programming including Nuestra Belleza Latina, Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud and Primer Impacto. Following this her first job, it was the CBS subsidiary in St. Petersburg employed her as a reporter for sports. She moved in Rio Grande Valley in 2009 to work as a reporter on the Spanish channel KNVO TV 48 Univision, as well as Fox2 News. She covered stories about migration and trafficking of drugs across both Texas as well as Mexico. Also, she was often requested to fill in as anchors for weather and sports. She was then the anchor reporter and anchor for Univision Dallas' Deportes 23. The station then gave her more responsibility. She covered all of the Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS World Series and Dallas Cowboys, NBA postseason and finals FC Dallas as well. Additionally, she was the producer of the Univision 23 local sports show Accion Deportiva Extra on which she served as the anchor herself. She also served as the sports anchor of Despierta America Deportes morning show. She also served as a sports anchor for Primer Impacto, a magazine show on the UniMas Network and Contacto Deportivo. Antonietta's parents hail of Veracruz Mexico. She was born on 22nd November, 1985 on the 22nd of November in Mexico City. Also, she has a sibling. The family moved in 1992 to Mexico to go to the US and relocated to Miami. Her parents divorced soon after and in 1995 her mother got married to one of the naval architects named Fabio Fajardo who died of kidney cancer in the year 2006. In the summer of 2006, she spent one week with her sibling at Canton Ohio. The older Collins girl was working there. Antonietta was a senior high school student and had a very clear vision of what she wanted to do in her future career. She went to Mount Union University in order to decide if it would be a good fit for her. The campus was a dream for her. They also offered her the degree she wanted. After completing her studies, she was accepted to the University to pursue a degree in Media studies. Mark Bergmann was her professor and was also the director of WRMU in which she's a member. They developed a close relationship. Professor Bergmann was a great influence on her by his passion about journalism. The professor also had a profound impact on her.
